
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, that is the rooftop solar scheme, and said that the new initiative will benefit 1 crore households with free electricity.

This initiative, backed by an investment exceeding Rs 75,000 crores, seeks to illuminate 1 crore households by offering up to 300 units of free electricity monthly.
The Central Government will guarantee no financial burden on the people by providing significant subsidies directly to their bank accounts and offering highly concessional bank loans.
How to Apply

go to “Apply for rooftop solar” & follow these steps for registration:

Step 1: Registration

Select your State

Select your Electricity Distribution Company

Enter your Electricity Consumer Number
-
Enter Mobile Number
-
Enter Email
-
Please follow as per the direction from the portal

Step 4 : Apply for Net Meter
Once installation is over, submit the plant details and apply for net meter

Step 2 : Login In

Login with Consumer Number & Mobile Number
-
Apply for the Rooftop Solar as per the form

Step 5 : Inspection & Commissioning Certificate
After installation of net meter and inspection by DISCOM, they will generate the commissioning certificate from portal

Step 3 : Feasibility Approval & Installtion
Auto feasibility approval will be done for RTS upto 10kw. Once you get the feasibility approval install the plant by any of the registered vendors (Prakruti Energy) in your DISCOM

Step 6 - Subsidy Disbursement
Once you get the commissioning report. Submit the bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal. You will receive your subsidy in your bank account within 30 days.

1. Rs 30,000 (CFA) + Rs. 25,000 (SFA) = Rs. 55,000 for 1kw
2. Rs 60,000 (CFA) + Rs. 50,000 (SFA) = Rs. 1,10,000 for 2kw
3. Rs 78,000 (CFA) + Rs. 60,000 (SFA) = Rs. 1,38,000 for 3kw
